Forum:
I originally bought my 1987 Fourtrak F75 as an engine donor for my CJ-5 Jeep !
I'm so impressed with the mechanicals I've decided to sell the Jeep and concentrate on the Daihatsu instead.
The chassis is mint but the same cann't be said about the body.
The rear was rotten (as normal ) so that has been cut off to turn it into a flat bed pick-up.
I've been thinking, that with so much rust, that an alternative body might be a good idea.
I understand there used to be a kit (Saxon) based on the old F50 but was there ever anything suitable for the F75

I would be interested to hear the results of any enquiries you make with them, perhaps you could keep the forum updated.

Also the sills are too high for me to climb in & out as I have mobility problems (left leg).

You could always try the hybread solution. Basicly find a car you like. Cut the chassis to fit the bodies wheel base. and mount the body onto the Daihats running gear. Done well such hybreads can be stunning to look at, as well as very capable machienes. It is a lot of work to do well, but worth the effort.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
