The time has come to replace my MT's i am going to fit 31/10.50/15 and i dont know which one is better. I am interested in serious off-roading and have already modded my sporty a fair amount.

it is a 96 sporty with 2 inch suspension lift, explorer procomp + 2" shocks

so opions please, sirrocos come in at £414 and saharas come in at £350.

tom

£280 for 4

the saharas, check out www.tyresdirectuk.co.uk - good prices, got my greenway machos from them, looks like they dont do em anymore though but the saharas are identical

Just my pennys worth but,

Just my pennys worth but, definitely siroccos! To mates have Land Rover 90s, one has saharas the other siroccos. Siroccos go ANYWHERE! Saharas are nowhere near as good. Cheap BF Goodrich copies are better....please believe me!

Best of luck, Dave

Here are some cheap BFG copy alternatives:

Check out Cooper tyres if

Check out Cooper tyres if you want top quality new tyres, as opposed to remoulds; they are top quality tyres without the top quality prices. Everyone i have recommended them to who has swapped really rate them for off road and on road ability, as well as having the tyre life of top quality brands.
Prices include everything including next working day delivery.
For pure off road work you would need Discoverer STT, or a combination of off road and on road, ST.

Check their website out www.tyrespec.co.uk this gives full information on all their tyres, and is a mine of information; they are the importers of these tyres, and are the best priced. Special offers are always on, so worth a look when you can get top brand at remould prices.

After many years of trying

After many years of trying diffrent tyres and combos I have come to the conclusion that for heavy duty off roading you need Bronco Dimond backs (or Grizzly Claws as they are called in larger sizes). For Midrange fun BF Goddrick MT's. And for fairly gentle stuff (and not wanting to swap wheels over for diffrent things) BF Goodrich AT's on the front and BFG MT's on the rear. This makes for reasonable traction on and off road. Car can get tail happy in the wet, but tends to go where the front wheels point.
