Forum:

i have been trying to get parts and can't? they said its a odd one as its a f76. i need to know if it has a cambelt or chain or both,as two garages have told me different things.

F76? Is it an import? UK

F76? Is it an import? UK models F75 leafsprung and F78 Indipendent as far as I'm aware. Prob same engine though. Has the engine got DL followed by 50 something on the rocker cover?

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Shouldnt be any different. I

Shouldnt be any different. I had fourtrak parts put in my old rugger. And Rugger/rocky parts put in my Fourtrak! Im in NZ and there are only about 2 fourtraks here! When i get it repairs they automatically put rocky parts in, never had a problem.

F76

This is a designation number which covered the range from F70-80, the F76 was used for Asian and American markets.

All F70 designations used the same basic DL engine, this was tuned for differing emissions requirements, therefore it is a cambelt and not a timing chain.
