Not too sure..

I have a 1 litre Hijet (98 reg), reading what you say, I'd be looking around the steering wheel, under the covers for the indicator/light stalk/wiper stalk housing, on my jet the hazard switch is a push/pull button on top of this housing arond the steering wheel, same on yours?

Reason being, is that what has stopped working all the wiring goes through this area, so maybe, just maybe there was/is a loose wire which has come out/dislodged, and has earthed against the steering column or another wire, causing a fault on wipers/indicators/lights?

The noise from under the left hand side of dash, can't work that one out, on the far left, under/behind the glove box is the engine management box/cpu, and some other stuff I haven't yet fathomed out (Impossible to find a workshop manual, so all done by trial/error/experimentation) Smile

The majority of the wiring for the van is behind the front dash, had mine off to wire in alarm/radio, most of it is in harnesses/covers, also the relay switches for indicators/headlights are there.

Probably not much help what I've written, hope someone, with better knowledge, can solve your problem.

Does you van have a burglar alarm fitted Unknw if so, a fault in this could be the cause of the indicator sticking on. Other causes can be the flasher unit ( sorry, don't know location of this at the moment), or a fault on the light switch/indicator stalk. Sorry to be a bit vague, but a problem like this is difficult to diagnose without seing the vehicle
