hi guys my driving lights were just fine and all of the sudden when i switch to hi beam it just goes off. what are the steps to get it working again. thank you

Lighting
Check the obvious such as fuses, and high beam relay, or changeover relay, depending on which wiring layout is installed. If the vehicle is fitted with aftermarket driving or spotlights, check the wiring; often these were incorrectly fitted, and bodged. driving or spot lights should only operate when the headlights are on full beam, this causing problems with the headlights full beam operation.
it could be dirty contacts
it could be dirty contacts in the high beam switch on the steering column. sometimes a squirt of wd40 will clean them , or a gentle rub with a piece of fine sandpaper .

I'd put money on it being the contact problem. It is a fairly regular thing.
