I've got a Fourtrak fieldman and want to beef up the wheels a bit,the current size is 215/80R15 ,does anyone know the biggest(and best all-terrain) tyres I can put on these rims?

Hi and welcome.
How long is a piece of string, what do you want to achieve with your truck. With body/suspension mods anything is possible. Suggest you read the "OffRoad Modifications" section, it may be of interest to you,in the "How it Works" section at the top of the page.
With a standard suspension set up, 31x10.50x15 seems to be the most common choice, as for the best A/T tyre its down to personal preference, but others may come forward with suggestions, I am on my second set of 31x10.50x15 Runway Enduro A/T Tyres, on standard rims. First set did 50 thou miles, and well pleased with their capabilites on and off road.

I am going to put 33 in the next weeks, I just got a shackle 2" lift, still, dont know yet if I am going to need to cut any body parts.
Biggest you can put would be 35s which could break CVs if you're agressive.
37 for sure will break daihatsu axles.

Take in the to account lack of excelleration, and increased fuel consumption with exccessive tyre sizes, along with incorrect speedo readings !!!

Is there any pics of your 'trak on the site ewes? If not, any change of getting a few up sometime? Don't those wheels rub on the chassis, or are you OK because you have the indi(?) with alloys which alloy the larger tyre(standard?).

No piccys of truck on site, except for number plate conversion.
Truck is a leaf sprung, replacement springs all round,(complete kit from Milners) very hard when running 2 up and a wheelchair, these gave an unexspected lift, due the curvature, so much so, the replacement Monroe Gas shocks only have 2" of extension left, and bottom out, really must replace these !!!, and the rear swinging shackles have 1" clearance from the tow bar mounting. ( no body roll though)
I also have replaced the rubber axle stops allround as on full compression the tyres will hit the plastic moulding around the wheel archs if these are missing.
Wheels are standard steels, tyre rubbing on the front chassis does occur very slightly, this could be avoided by adjusting the front axle steering stops, but one is only on full lock at low speeds, and if one notices it one backs off a little, no problems with MOT with this.

I'm surprised that they didn't pick the rubbing up for the MOT. Have you painted your wheels? If so how did you stop the rust coming through? I shot blasted-primed-painted-laqoured and the rust is coming through now since the snow/salt =/
How much difference has the larger tyres made regarding the correct speedo reading?

Re the tyre rubbing it seems it is neglible, but you do hear it rub, I guess its all down to the testers opinion, as I am now on my second set and have used the same testing station for many years, and mine the only Fourtrak he gets !!!! ( no wear or scuffing visible on tyres either, 2nd set of this brand/size now)
My steel wheels get a wire brushing and a annual coat of Hammerite silver yearly, as I use powder coating for my sculptor work I have thought about having them coated.
I understand from a previous post, that (31/10.50/15), in comparision with speedo and a GPS/Sat Nav unit, you are only just with in the max allowance (percentage) that speed cameras (eg Gatso, Boys in Blue) use, so no leeway is available, so you have to keep this in mind!!!.

235/75R15 no problems
running 235/75/R15's all round on all of my dads 'traks no issues with rubbing or the like, currently got BF Goodrich AT's on three of the four and on the one i drive BF Goodrich's on the back and Pirelli Scorpion's on the front (got them cheap so worth a try), the BFG's last a good while on the road, waiting to see how long the pirelli's last for.
