Imported Daihatsu Undersealing

Forum:

Hi,

I have a Daihatsu Rugger imported from Japan and have been told that it will need undersealing as Japanese cars don't need this due to the roads not being gritted over there.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

I would expect they would all

I would expect they would all come from the factory the same, regardless of the end market. Check in the mudguards, and underneath for a bitumen type coating.

Cheers
David

UNDERSEALING

It is true. Japaneses import cars don't have underseal.
Some of my friends drive Mitsubish FTOs and Mazda Eunos Roadsters ect and they have all needed undersealing to protect them from grit.

Feroza undersealing

I have an imported Feroza and wish to underseal, can I do this myself? Can anyone recommended a suitable u/seal material?
Thanks
