I have a 1990 2.8TD with a cracked engine block Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I have been offered an engine completed with Turbo, starter, alternaltor etc and gear box from an 1986 fourtrak.
Are there any issues with dropping her in? I noticed the oil filter is on a different angle thats all.

Everything bolts straight up. I went the other way, A 1985 F75 with blown DL 41 motor. I bought a later model DL 51 motor, with turbo, and a later again intercooler. It bolted straight in.

Sucessful engine change
Cheers Mr Bundyrumandcoke,
I had to change over the exhaust manifold and turbo because my exhaust sits lower than on the earlier models. I also changed over the rocker cover for looks.
