HI ,MY ALATERNATOR BELT SEEMS TO BE SLIPPING AS ITS STARTED SQUEALING A LOT SO I WILL HOPEFULY REPLACE IT. BUT ,HOW DO I GET TO IT,I CANNOT EVEN SEE IT SO I PRESUME ITS BENEATH THE POWER STEERING UNIT, AM I RIGHT AND IF SO ,HOW EASY IS IT TO DO MYSELF.THANKS FOR ANY HELP ANYONE CAN GIVE,PAUL.
Belt
You can adjust the belt with your eyes closed. Takes about two minutes using a socket wrench. Just look/feel for the bolts holding the unit onto the engine and slacken them off. Tension the belt but dont over-tension so its 'stretched'.:O

I have the advantage of a car inspection pit but the alternator bolts can be accessed from above. Get your hand down and find them!
