Sportrak Radiator

Forum:

HELP!!!!...the rad on my 1990 Sporty has terminally died and no-one seems to stock these any longer. I have found that rads for the later (injection) models are available, but mine is a 16v carb engine version. Does anyone know if the rads for these two models are the same please???..or even better, can anyone tell me where to get one??....Thanks...Mike M. Radiators .. dont panic.

No problem! You can have any radiator re-cored and it will be as good as new. The top/bottom tanks are removed and a new centre core soldered to fit. The top/bottom tanks also get a full workout. The finished radiator usually gets a 'new' 12 month guarentee.I recently had my Sporty radiator recored/rebuilt for £98.{Redditch depot]
I suggest you use the search facility [top of the page] and search for 'radiator'. Alternatively use the yellow pages ... 'radiator' 'auto rads' etc and you will find numerous local repairers.
If your in UK West Mids there are several 'Motorrads' which re-core radiators. A good depot is in Redditch ... tele number found by using this page's search facility.
