hello everyone ok well im new to this and so far have found this site very very helpful but now i need some more help please
ok i brought myself a daihatsu 1987 4x4 fourtrak 2L petrol and now i have some problems and not sure where to go next with it
it starts fine but somtimes stools it also is missing and backfiring loads it has suck agression in it after 3000 rph but still backfires and misses loads it is not a turbo
i am doing the points plugs leads over the weekend but wounderd if there was somthing more to this that i may have misses
please please please if anyonecanhelp i would be very greatful for the help
if anyone can help me please do
also what is the best tiresfor m to get as i need a new set of tyres and was hopping for some advice also please

Take the top off the carboret
Take the top off the carboreta, and look in the bottom of the petrol resivware. I had a recuring problem with mine. The fuel line was breaking down, and occasionally dumped small bits of rubber into the flote chamber. This had the effect of parsually blocking the exit line from the chamber. There is also a wire wool type filter deep in the inlet to the carb, this being parsually blocked could cause a similar problem by stopping fuel getting into the carb to start with.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
