Hi all,
I want to buy 195/50 15 tires to my YRV Turbo but I 'm not sure it will fit to YRV's original 5.00x15 wheels or not... To Bridgestone's data book 195/50 15 Bri's only fit 5.5-7" width... But to Federal's data sheet it can fit to 4.5-6.5" width wheels... Which data is correct? May I buy new wheels?

Tyre Size.
I have 195x50x15 Yoko's on my YRV 130. No problems so far, but only had the car since Dec and done 600mls.
Previous owner put them on and said they tamed the understeer.
I have no idea what the 175's were like to compare but seems ok to me.
I am aware that some tyre makers say a 5.5j rim is the minimum.
If they posed a danger the tyre fitters would say so and not let you have them,(I hope??).
Maybe we should all press a manufacturer into making one to properly fit our cars, like a 185x50x15!

Hi, I have just fitted a new set of wolfrace street octanes to mt yrv wth 195/50/15 tyres and have no problems i just brought some 5mm wheel spacers from my local motorfactors as the back tyres were touching the brake pipe, front no problems.Much better handling now.Get some fitted see the improvement !. You also might need spacers, but the original turbo alloy is slightly narrower so it might be fine !

185/55 15's will fit - they a
185/55 15's will fit - they are fitted to other YRV's. Don't know about 195/50's. The tyre fitter shoud know.
