Now I have the F50 running (smiles - very pleased) I tried engaging 4 wheel drive and top speed is 30mph in 4 wheel drive. Top speed is about 60 ish in 2 wheel drive.
Does this sound about right?

If bye 4WD you mean 4WD low range, then yes that sounds about right.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Thank you both yes I did mean low range and I won't be going to the surgeon anytime soon..........
Top speed
I had 70 out of mine once downhill, but comfortable at 55. Sensible top speed about 60. Low range as Nev says, about 30. It'll take a surgeon to remove those smiles - so we warned !!!!!
