GTti and G100 Turbo

Forum:

Hi, Ive just bought a 1990 charade G100 Turbo. just wandering what the difference is between the GTti and the G100 Turbo?
i know that the G100 is 5dr but is there much difference in engine power?
Thanks

More too it than that also. T

More too it than that also. The GTti runs a much bigger turbo than the tiny kkk turbo on the Charade Turbo and the GTti is intercooled too running higher boost than the charade turbo. The Charade turbo is just two valves per cylinder and the GTti is a double overhead cam design meaning the valves can be positioned for much better gas flow through the head hence far more power.

If you need to know any more you might do well to check out the club website or even join up. We're opening up the club to all Daihatsus so it would be good to have a wider cross section of cars at the meets.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Too few GTti's about in fact too few Daihatsu's in General so a Daihatsu Car Club is what's required

gtti and g100 turbo

Also the CB-80 engine in the Gtti has fuel injection, and the CB-60 in the g100 turbo has a carb.

GTti stands for Gran Turismo

GTti stands for Gran Turismo Turbo Intercooler, which means, well, it's intercooled.. The Turbo does not have a cooler. The model code for the GTti is G101.

Treat your GTti, they are great!
