The week started with four new tyres, new brake cylinders and new pads, and a £325 bill. Then yesterday I tried to fit a stereo, and whilst the speakers went in the door cards without a problem the power source appeared to be dead and on further investigation the electrics were a bit of a mess. So on Wednesday I have a mobile car electrician coming to fix things

Just now I got a call from our local lovely Daihatsu dealer (not being sarc) telling me they had tracked down some window runners. Replacing these would mean that when we wind down the windows they will actually go back up again! So parts are £50 and labour will be about the same.

For a van that only cost £800 it's getting a bit expensive!
