recovery points

Forum:

just bought a 1987 swb fourtrak but i have been looking aroung the front of the truck and their doesnt seem to be any recovery points or any place where you could weld/bolt a recovery point to. if any one could please tell me what they have done as its giving me a headache

cheers ill upload some pics later to show u what im talking about

theres loads

whip of the front bumper and youll see lots of pre drilled holes in the front chassis stubbs - let your imagination run wild!! as standard the fourtrak comes with a hook bolted onto one side of the front chassis stubb (or should do)........

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

Towing points

Hi.

The Fourtrak ('92 Fourtrack) has pre drilled holes in the chassis stub, should already have a hook attached. I have run a drill through one set of holes to slightly enlarge and have fitted galvanised 'D' shackles wide enough to take the chassis stub, plus galv washers to allow them to swing. Check area for tin worm !!!!!. No need to remove bumper.
