Moves

Forum:

New to the site, but not Daihatsu's. I've had a Move now for nearly two years and am convinced that after all the abuse I've thrown at it it will never ever die, so I might as well get used to having it around!
Sometime last year someone discussed why Moves didn't feature on the site (Being absent from the 'Vehicles' section as they are..) The reason given last year was that there weren't many people out there who seemed interested, well, theres one more here!

Where are the other move owners Scratch one-s head
It's a fantastic little car and despite the fact they don't sell them here anymore, in Germany and Japan they seem to have a cult of modification built around them. Where can I get stuff to make my Move catch even more eyes? (Even though it's only eye catching so I'm told, because it looks like a microwave...)

MOVES

I bought a Move a few months back and it still impresses me every time I drive it.
It's so nippy and the amount of petrol it sips is amazing.
Many people have no idea what it is and my friends had a few laughs until they get in it and I tell them its only 850cc.
When the Move came out in 1997 there was no mini MPV market, it was too far ahead and too radical for British tastes.
I think the latest Move in Japan is amazing just wish there would bring it to Britain.
I have just put two images of my modified Move in my image gallery.

Nice move.....

That, my friend, is an impressive looking Move!

Where did you get the body kit for the front bumper?!

Myself and a friend came up with a concept for a Move Dragster (We'd had a few) It's (financially) an impossible dream, but I thought people might appreciate the thought, theres an image in my image file of the master plan. Look out Santa Pod Raceway, the Daihatsu's are coming...

P.s.Have you ever tried camping in the move with all of the seats folded flat? Perfect double bed... All it needs now is a set of curtains.... Wink

MOVE

Your Move dragster looks great!
I have thought about a Charade GTti turbo engine for my Move but I don't know if its possible or what sort of costs are involved.

The body kit for the front bumpers is a pair of universal corner splitters, cheaply available from most body kit shops.

I havn't been camping in it yet but it has crossed my mind.

Interior bits.

Just been on e-bay and there's a german company manufacturing fascia trims for the move in many different colour plastics, wood-effect or chrome. They're even for right hand drive models.
If we don't buy them who else will?

How's the Move? Moving nicely? Not sold out on a YRV yet I hope?
