2010 Sirion front suspension noisy

Forum:

Hi
I have had this car for 2 months and have sent it back now for the 3rd time for the noise on the front suspension.Shocks are fine.Lower control arm is also fine. There is a bit of play on the rear engine mounting. They are busy replacing it.
What else could make the noise.
Thanks
Jannie

As above

My car is just under three years old and still under warranty. It had developed front suspension noises, naturally on bumpy roads, about six months ago. I took it in for checking and repair, after which I was informed that they replaced the caliper pins, and will also replace my steering rack which is also the main cause of the frontal noises. They said that a new rack will be ordered, and when it arrives I will be contacted to take the car in for the new rack replacement. I am now taking the car in ten days time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

noisy suspension

Hi all, had the car from almost new but hands up it's a 2008 Justy as you know a Sirion with a different name. Anyway 38k miles and i have been told the rack needs replacing. This is well expensive at £1000 replaced, anyone else come across this? I bought the car as I thought Daihatsu were ultra reliable but this is making me think again,

NOT steering rack fault

Hi Subaru main dealer investigated this noise for me. Turns out it was the TWO universal joints in the steering column. They loosened and retightened them and the noise has gone.

noisy suspension

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I was told that the steering rack in my car needs replacing. The car is still under warranty. They had ordered a new rack, and replaced it a couple of weeks ago. Also, as I mentioned before, they replaced the caliper pins. The front suspension noises have now disappeared.
