Sirion disks

Forum:

I am in NZ and down here the sirion is called a Toyota Passo (jap import). Great little cars aren't they. I recently bought mine a 2005, with 1.0 engine. Very happy with it so far. One issue is the front disks underbraking make a distinct vibration. From what I can see on the web this is not uncommon with the possibility of the disks warping. Any advice around this would be appreciated. I also cannot find any service/repair manual for this car. Can anyone help? Thanks from down under:)

Brake discs

Had the same problem on my Cuore (same engine) after putting new discs on it. As soon as it rained and they went rusty everywhere except where the pads were, it started vibrating slightly under braking and never went away. I assume that because I bought cheap discs they either went rusty around 80% of the discs and never recovered due to cheap metal, or maybe they were just a bit crap anyway! Maybe buying good quality ones would solve it. Relatively cheap and easy to fit. If it still does it then perhaps try replacing some suspension bushes, I've found in the past that anti-roll bar bushes can cause a little vibration when they're worn.
Good luck with it, just change the oil regularly and the engine should last forever!
