1.3 petrol hijet pickup 1998. Is lacking power, its ok but it just feels sluggish and struggles to go up even slight hills without having to change down the gears. I do have 2 of these pick ups and there other one is perfect. So its not just that i think its slow! it just feels like its on the brink of bouncing into life but it never does..

I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel tank and pump (these were all shot) and the problem is still there. I have used some fuel line/injector cleaner. Still the power is lacking.

Could it be a fuel mixture problem? it does smell fairly petrol rich when it is started. Could it be a choke staying on, does it even have a choke? could it be lambada sensor issue causing it to over fuel and basically flood?

ANy help would be most appreciated indeed, as its driving me potty now.
