Stick with the original remote locking

Your best to try and get a second hand remote fob, as any from a Daihatsu YRV, SIrion, Terios etc.. will work. So you have been give an a price of £70 for a new remote and also going to be charged to re-program as well? You do know that re-programming can be done yourself and is easy enough to do? You can program up to 2 key fobs (Have 1 for a spare), as this is what I have done with my YRV turbo.
Do a search on this forum as it's been covered for all models of Daihatsu. Good luck. Smile

dont know if 2nd hand remote will be ok till i buy one & test it, the last one i saw on ebay was£27.00 but looked a bit rough(scratched up a lot & sticker missing off the back)
i have seen thatcham cat 1 alarms as low as £100 to £130 maybe this is a better bet
