1980 Taft F50 - indicator and brake light problems

Forum:

I am in the process of trying to get my 1980 F50 back on the road after spending the past 15+ years as a farm vehicle (paddock basher).

There's a long list of jobs to do - the latest being installing a new set of rear lamps to replace the destroyed originals.

Although moderately successful, I'm left with a couple of issues that I'm hoping someone can help me with....

INDICATOR RELAY
Although the left and right indicator lights illuminate there is no 'blinking'.
I presume that this'll be due to a failed or faulty indicator relay? Despite having had a good look around under the dashboard and around the engine bay, I haven't found this relay.
Any guidance on where the indicator relay is located (on a right hand drive model)?

BRAKE LIGHTS
Although working our the rear lamp wiring was a bit trial and error, I've now got the indicators, reversing and tail lights all working as they should. However, I cannot get the brake lights working.
On the basis that all the other lights are working as they should, I presume its not a problem with my wiring up of the rear lamps - and is therefore more likely to be the brake switch on the brake pedal.
However, I'd really appreciate anyone's thoughts and suggestions - and guidance on how to locate and test/replace the brake light switch.

Many thanks Smile
