Coolant loss.
Common problem with these, my nephew's one dribbled down the back of the engine and dripped off the bottom of the water pump - that had us confused for a while! You need to get a new inlet manifold gasket. If you leave it, it'll just get worse. I took my lodger's Charade to the garage to get it done and had to stop and top up a couple of litres every 3 miles! Don't let it get that bad.

i take it there is a coolant pipe linked in to the intake manifold internally
had a quick look for one cant see any ,where did you source your gasket
dont want to take it all off if i dont have a new one thanks ian

hi i took it off , theres a

it is separate from inlet manifold o ring gasket
any idea its proper name thats the one i need

Apparently, the parts were
Apparently, the parts were ordered from Kinghams. He said it was in Tonbridge, but the only one I can find is in Croydon (South London). They are a well known Daihatsu dealer.
I seem to remember that those O rings were a bit pricey, but I could be wrong.
