Hi,
I have a YRV 1.0, year 2001 with manual transmission. The gearbox is really bad, I often can't shift gears, the mechanic says I need a new gearbox.
I did not find gearbox for this car anywhere.
Is the gearbox for the Sirion 1.0 maybe the same? Or maybe the YRV 1.3 gearbox? Or any other cars'?

It's not just a really stiff linkage is it? My Cuore 1.0 had a very stiff gear change and that's what caused it. Don't know how much you trust your mechanic, but they can be crafty sods sometimes!

Well, I thought the problem
Well, I thought the problem is the clutch, so I had it changed, and it did not get better.
Now after starting, it (barely) works for a few kms, and then I can't even change the gears at all. I cant move the stick anywhere.
The problem is that I don't know any mechanics here(I recently moved), also I don't know much about cars, so I have to trust this mechanic on this...
He also told me when he lifts up the car, the gearbox is working fine, but when it's on its own tyres it doesn't.

The only things I could suggest are checking the oil level in the gearbox and lubricating the linkage. Other than that, I don't know. It sounds very strange!
