Can someone tell me if I have a cam belt or chain on my fourtrak its a 1995 2.8 diesel vin F78W-000353 jap import.
One garage say I dont its chain and does not require changing another say the opposite, HELP!!!

They changed to a cam belt in
They changed to a cam belt in 1989 on the 2.8 DL engine, you'll notice it has a plastic cover rather than a metal one you'll get with a chain.
