Alarms, batteries and clutch!!!

Forum:

Hey all I own a cute wee Cuore.
In my first day of driving it i was parked and someone reversed into me.
So first Q - does any1 know a good daihatsu repairer in N.I.?

Does anyone else have trouble with their car stalling? the clutch seems to be very short and revs drop out alot when moving off. If i put my foot down i get alot of wheelspin!
Any ideas what could be wrong?

As for the battery - i havent used one of these before and i dont know what to do. Someone said top it up with battery acid and someone else said use deionized water.

Central locking - i want to put an alarm in the car. Does anyone know where the motor is for the cental locking?
It isnt in either the drver or passanger door, so where does it lock from????

All help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey - they're great little cars!

I've had to adjust the clutch a couple of times in the last few months, as the biting point gets closer to the floor. If yours is the same as mine, the adjustment is at the pedal end of the cable.

Battery: top up with deionised water - from your local car spares shop. The electricity passing through the battery separates the water into hydrogen and oxygen (which is why it's a bad idea to smoke while the battery's charging!). The acid stays behind, so it doesn't need replacing, unless you've spilled some.

BTW - the members here largely drive Daihatsu 4x4s. You might find www.daihard.org of interest.
