from 1.6 to 2.8 for my feroza

i have a 92 feroza and i just bought a fourtrak with a 2.8 diesel engine in it.i was going to change engines but after measuring it up i have found that the engine is too big.anyway what i want to know is would the 1.6 diesel fourtrak go into a feroza?

There is no 1.6 Deisle fourtrak (in the UK at least). The early trak (F50) was a 2.5, and it's petrol sister (F20) was 1.6.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Agreed. AFAIK there is no 1.6 diesel. And transplanting a 2.8 into a Sportrak/Feroza is a nightmare waiting to happen. Just about everything is different in the drivetrain, not to mention suspension upgrades, ect. I personally would not contemplate it.
