F75 Tryes

Forum:

Hi

I have a 1991 F75 and it look so tall and skinney Blush I need some new tyres all round cos the old ones (215/80/R15) are nearly illegal so i thought of fitting some fatter tyres to make it look and drive a bit better. I only have the original steel wheels and don't really want to buy any other wheels.

I've read all the topics on this subject and im a bit thick cos im still confused! Some people say that the 31/10.5/R15 go on but rub. I don't particularlily want something so big. I don't want it to rub at all so whats the next size down that will fit?

Also would it be advantageous to fit wheel spacers, i've seen to 35mm ones on ebay?

Cheers

The next size down from 31's

The next size down from 31's is 30/9.5/R15. 235-75R15 is very nearly the same size. Wheel offset has some to do with rubbing as well, as does the steering stop adjustment.

Dont know about the UK, but in Oz, wheel spacers are illegal for road use.
