I had reason to look at the rear bearings on my Charade today and thought that I would have a quick look at the brake shoes and cylinders for a condition check, however, it appears that one needs to loosen the bearings to get the brake drum off. Does anyone know if this is the case and could you please confirm this?
I remember having a car several years ago where this was the case. I have been used to Peugeots where the drums come off relatively easily without removing the bearings.
The car still uses too much petrol as addressed in another post.
Also, has anyone had a CD repair manual and can say if they are worth having?
