Hello everybody....
I dont know if this is the right section but i could do with a little bit of advice...
I have recently purchased a 1997 fourtrak fieldman F78 and there is a slow whirring/chomping noise coming from somewhere underneath that i can hear when it is idling (Clutch in or out doesnt make any difference).... The noise is only minor but i dont know if it could be serious or a known problem ???? The vehicle has warranty but i would like to know what it could be before i attempt to take it in to be looked at......

I would like to add the following points...
The noise sounds at a much slower speed than the engine, as if there is oil drag or a dry bearing on the PTO if this is possible ??? but it is intermittant (A couple of seconds of then a couple of seconds on) and sounds exactly the same when 4WD is selected, But becomes a constant noise when moving... It can only be heard from inside the vehicle, the engine is nice and quiet also.... Could it be just an exhaust mount or something silly???
