HI-JET Paddling pool

Forum:

I have owned a Hi Jet for 9 months which is very reliable but in the rain both sunroofs leak. The worst problem however is the paddling pools that form in the floorwell of the cab. Can anyone offer help in sourcing the leaks and permanent cure of them

I don't know much about hi-je

I don't know much about hi-jets but here goes. Their should be drainage holes in the roof where the sunroofs seales to the roof of the van. These can get blocked and back up with water untill it leaks through the sunroof. The drainage holes run through the body of the car and out the bottom. It's usually possible to push a length of cable down these holes and clear the blockage. Mind your feet though, my satisfaction of unblocking a drainage hole on my old fiesta was somewhat dampened as half a litre of murky water and rotting leaves dumped onto my shoes Lol

Damp Hi-Jet Footwell

I had the same prob on my Hi-Jet van when it was new. Turned out to be the front panel (for access to the rad cap) not being fitted properly. It's fastening are accessed from inside the cab - two plastic nuts at each end. There should be a rubber gasket to keep the water out but if this is out of place.........
