Can someone tellme if the waterpump can be replaced with the engine still in the car? doesn't seem to be much room for being able to do this at all....haven't had much luck with these forumns in the past hope someone has done this before. Thanks

sorry you havent had much luck here. maybe i can help i donot have an applause but i have googled the engine image now if yours is the same cicra 1989-96 transverse then the water pump is reached through the drivers side wheel arch once the wheel, splash guards have been removed also i would expect to have to remove the coolent tank and hoses alternator and PAS belts to gain access you may have to remove the right hand side engine mount to tilt the engine cant tell from the picture.
