Hi all, a few months ago, my daughters Rocky had a UJ fall to bits on her rear prop shaft, so I took OFF the rear prop shaft and parked it up until i got a replacement sorted out and then the weather took a turn for the worse and her alternative transport went AWOL, so i had the idea of putting it in four wheel drive and letting her still use it, i couldnt see it doing any harm at all.
Can anyone identify the source of this noise. It comes in at about 3000rpm in all gears and sounds like a heat shield or plate resonating, it stops about 800rpm later. I have just driven a mates car and it makes almost the same noise. He has replaced the exhaust and cat on his to try and eliminate it to no avail.
Hello - just looking for advice. Have owned 4x4 for years and persuaded my son to get a fourtrak which I collect Wednesday, It is a '97 TDX - now all 4x4 are different. Do I run this normally in 2wd or 4 wd please.
Anything in particular to watch for - has doen 100k miles and had new cam belt last year.
If anyone out there wants a '96 sporty which smokes a bit it's going on ebay tomorrow with a buy it now price of £500. It has done 54K miles with previous MOT's to prove. It has new exhaust, battery, leads and valve stem oil seals. It's in good nick but I haven't got time to sort it out, I only bought it to play in the mud.
I recently bought a 2000 Rocky SE 2.7 Turbodiesel (See photographs in Gallery). We went on a trip, not driving hard or too fast, 70 -100 km/h, and the average fuel consumption over a distance of 5000km is about 9.5 l/100km. About 20 km therof was in 4 wheel drive.
Is that good or bad? I read of an Isuzu that does 15 l/100km.
