Well my dipstick has broken, with pull part out, but most of the long part in the hole. Stupid idea to have a completely plastic one.
Firstly, any clever ways of getting the long bit out without removing the sump?
Secondly, where can I get a new one?
As it's basically a Toyota 1300 VVTI engine, can I get a Toyota one instead; as used a lot on Yaris, etc...?
Ah well, my Missus has been a YRV premium 1.3 51 plate over 100k on the clock (80k on the clock in 2007) - only 20k miles in 5 years), owner since 2007 and I don't know how she has managed to continue driving it with the problems with the car.
I do believe she bought the car in a knackered state - it had been thrashed i think.
Hi all. Just bought a rally 2 to use for rallying. I need to remove the abs system, as abs is useless in a forest. Does the vss work off the abs system or is there a seperate sensor. Also does anyone have a pdf of a workshop manual inc a wiring diagram.
As some of you know I have been having a bit of a run around trying to fix the 02 sensor problem on my YRV turbo. When I eventually got the correct part on the weekend the 0113 it came bare wired. I chopped it into the plug of an old one and think I have connected the wires wrong as the light has come back on after a day with the same fault.
My fourtrak wont engage in 4 wheel drive, useless in the snow/mud on the flat or otherwise. There is a clicking sound coming from the wheels but once it's stuck the rear drivers side wheel spins and the other three wheels just sit there motionless, please help.

Hi guys, finding it hard to locate parts for my yrv turbo, I poped in to my local parts supplier , Lds ' they don't list a automatic gearbox filter , or a aux belt tensioner , my tensioner adjustic bolt decided to snap and now my belt is rattling around, I'd rather change it but gotta botch it for now till I can locate parts, any websites, phone numbers etc will be much apriatiated , but they will have to deliver , thanks guys
Hi just a quicky i,ve just fitted a replacement gearbox to my 1999 T Daihatsu Fourtrak 2.8 Td F78 i noticed the gear stick seems to be in a different place and now will select gears but is not right as the stick seems to be at a different angle all of the 2nd 4th and revers gears are vertually touching the carpet in fact when you hit reverse the stick hits the transfer box stick?
