Sportraks rear bumper lights complete

Forum:

As usual a bulb has gone and the usual problem one bolts siezes and in order to get the bulb out you have to break the lens. OK I have done it and it turned out to be a loss of earth link to the bulb holder. However I have gaffered it up for the time being and all is working but I shall need to replace for the MOT(control Tech. in France due in 2010)

Any one got or know of any complete units going in good condition. The problems is the reaction of stainless bolts and captivated mild steel nuts causes corrosion. Although mine were greased the last time with all the muck etc they have seized again.

Ebay seems to have dried up for spares or they have clamped down on the 99p wheel nut brigade.

Any help would be appreciated

I am doing the breaker

I am doing the breaker rounds for various parts, so I'll enquire for you. If you find one and they won't ship it trans manche
then get them to post it me and I'll forward it.

ST/ST and mild steel is an absolute swine - I have scrapped so many parts off the Yamaha because they have just fused.

Have very similar problems on the caravan - To save future chewed screws, I replaced them with hexheads.

replace all the light lense screws with hex/allan headed screws, run through with a tap to clean and pack with copper grease. It saves so much frustration.
