Forum:
I've been a proud owner of a hi-jet for a couple of weeks now and every other person I meet that find out tells me to be careful not to roll it!
I know they're fairly 'sprited' around corners but I've not felt unsafe at any time?
I won't go into the details of doing an 'endo' that a past owner of a Bedford Rascal was telling me about last night!!!
roll over
hi there I HAVE A 1.3 MPV AND HEARD HORROR STORIES OF THEM ROLLING, BUT I FIND THEY ARE PRETTY WELL BALANCED AND HAVE NOT REALLY HAD ANY PROBLEMS, ON MOTORWAYS YOU CAN GET BLOWN ABOUT A BIT, BUT NEVER FELT REALLY DANGEROUS,IF YOU KEEP HER TO AROUND 60MPH CANT SEE A PROBLEM, REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR DRIVING.
HAPPY MOTORING VAYJET.
Its a Roll Over!!
Hey, BMW.s roll I,ve seen them on their roofs! but seriously you would turn a Hijet over more easily. Driven correctly you can not roll over a Hijet and way back I had 90 mph showing on my Hijet speedo and it was very stable.
Obviously they are narrow and high so you would not want to turn full lock at 50mph.
I have seen many Hijets on the road but so far all have been on their wheels giving their drivers lots of fun!!
90 MILES AN HOUR?
Hi there was you having a laugh,NINETY MILES AN HOUR AND STABLE?who are you kidding?......(lol) or is it me just getting old?.Having driven,44tonne trucks all my life,AND then jumping into my hijet, its a pleasure to drive home, at 50/55, do they go any faster?

yowsa
90mph!!! Mine is only 983cc and doing 40mph down a country lane tonight felt like about 70mph!
So the 'endo' thing IS myth then!

I make gibberish! http://lawsie.blogspot.co
No lie!!
Come on mate why would I want to lie? Take a look on Google. Type in "Hijet mph" and look at the guys on there who talk of cruising at 75 mph in a 1 LITRE. I repeat I had 90 mph on he clock of a Hijet mpv 1.3.EFi It was new and tight and the ride remained stable.
You should probably see this...
A clip from top gear showing the potential for rolling in a suzuki supercarry. Not too dissimilar to a hijet.

It may clarify the rolling issue.
