I have changed my engine. The connectors on the loom did not fit the distributor so I changed it to the one that was on before. There are no connectors for the vac pipes on the replacement engine. Can I block the vac pipes and the engine performm okay of do i need to change the manifold.

I suspect the vacuum pipes are there to advance the ignition.

sportyancient - Probably the difference between a carb and efi engine-I don't think the latter has vac advance.
