Firstly, Hi to everyone - I'm a newbie.

I'm having problems with my passenger side electric wing-mirror and wondered if anyone can help?

I've already taken the car to a Daihatsu garage and they told me the motor inside the mirror has been knocked out of alignment (most likely been bumped by somebody) and it doesn't open or close properly now. It keeps getting stuck in a repetitive motion every time I turn the mirrors on/off, it's even started happening when I turn the ignition on - without me even touching the button that operates them.

Has anyone else had problems with their electric mirrors? Can anyone offer any advice as to a) quick fix for this? or b) how I take the mirror apart without damaging anything?

I've been quoted £250 just for a new mirror, so understandably I want to avoid replacing it, if I can help it! I'd rather take it apart and fix it myself.

Also, leading onto the question...Does anyone have a manual for this car?? (Sirion SL)
