Hi,
In the absence of a workshop manual, has anyone got a brief discription of how the engine comes out on the above HiJet? I gather from underneath and I've rigged up a 'service ramp' to drop it out. Obviously all the hoses and cables need detaching and I think there's a kind of sub frame that the engine sits in which is bolted to the main 'chassis' with 4 bolts - 2 each side. Then there's one lateral bolt at the rear of the geabox.
Any more bolts? Things to watch out for?
I'm going to put a beam across the width of the van sitting on the top of the metal frame above the doors and drop the engine/gearbox out with a block and tackle.
