GAITER FOR TERIOS DRIVESHAFT

Forum:

Hello,

I've a 1998 Terios that's just had the front CV joints replaced.

The gaiter over one of the joints has perished and dropped off. The mechanic tried to fit a universal gaiter but this lasted 2 miles before coming off.

I've been told the only option I have is to buy a new driveshaft just to get the gaiter. A new driveshft is about €620 and I can't bear the thought of having to buy a driveshaft just to get a gaiter.

I'm on the look out for a 2nd hand drive shaft with gaiters intact but apart from this, does anyone have any other ideas? I've had this car from new and it's been a brilliant car so I don't want to give up on it now Cray 2

Thanks in advance,
Dangermouse.
