Got a 89 Fourtrach diesel, the green 4wd light only goes out when the 4wd hi, lo, n 2h lever is in neutral.
So is it ok to drive it (manual locking hubs) and how do i fix it?

Sounds like you have some cro
Sounds like you have some crossed wiring there. Unlock your hubs, and put the gearbox in neutral, and the transfer case in 2H. Now climb under the car and turn the front propshaft by hand. If it turns, then you have 2wd. Now put it in 4H and try again. If you now cant turn it, everything is ok.

Will try that. Has a look underneath and i think its had the box out at some time as the wires have been re connected with new blue terminals.
By the way, nice truck.

Yes the prop turns in 2wd, but locks in 4wd.
So i have a wire problem, also notices i have no reverse light.
I am going to put a question about the wires in, but has anyone got the diagram of what wires go where? There are 3 sender! units, what r they for? 1 is reverse, are the other hi and lo

gear box switches
One is for the reversing light, one is for 4 wheel drive, the other controls some valve to do with the emmisions control system. The switch is 'on' when driving in 4th or 5th gears. At least thats how mine works anyway. I've a feeling that the reversing light must work for the MOT only if fitted, but you would have to check this.
