I am a new happy owner of Charade/Cuore in 251 body, 04reg, EJVE engine 1l (same as in YRV), nearly 60K miles.
Now it is time to change the subj and wonder if someone might advise whether the tensioner pulley has to be replaced at the same time - it costls like a car so is it not designed for a lifetime? On my previous suziki I used to alternate - change it with every other belt if it sounded OK and even that was probably not necessary as it did sound OK, but on Fords they have to be changed with every belt according to the manual. Daihatsu manual only says "change timing belt" ???? What is the requirement for Daihatsu's? Thank you for advice in advance
