Hi Posted last night regarding possible none operation of 4x4 on a 1997 2.8 Fourtrax. Thanks for all the useful information found on the site links. One more question meantime, does thr truck have to travel or spin the rear wheels for a short time before the auto hubs will engage or should they engage immediately?

Hi.
On engagment of (4x4)front driveshaft (rotation) , the Auto Hubs SHOULD lock in immediatly as power is transmited through the front half shafts. No need to spin wheels.

If the front wheels spin in the mud, you know the hubs are engaged.
