altanator belt change

Was a while ago, but here goes from memory. The power stering belt is not to difficalt. There is a long bolt/adjuster on the power stearing pump which you back off untill the belt will come off the pully without any tuging about. Befor you can do this you will need to undo the locking nut on the adjuster bolt.
I think I had to remove the rad cowling in order to get the two belts over the fan (one blade at a time). To release the aultinator belt you need to undo the retaining bolt which bolts the altinator to a long sloted peice of metal. You will also need to slacken off the bolts holding the bottom of the altinator to the engine. If I remember this was a git to do, as there was no eisy access to the botom rearmost bolt head.
Once the belts are off, and the new ones are in place you just need to tention them. With the altinator this meand pulling the aultinator itself away from the engine block untill the belt is tight, then do up the retaining bolt. Once your happy it's tight enough (a cm or 2 of up dopwn play on the longest section of belt between pullies as a rough gide) tighten up the mounting bolts on the altinator.
The power stearing belt is much eisier. Simply do up the tenchening bolt until your happy with the tightness of the belt. Then lock it off with the nut provided.
