Sick of getting hung up on the box section crossmember under your Independant? Replace it with one of these.....
8mm laser cut and folded zinc plated steel.

Strong enough?

It's probabaly stronger than the sections its going to be fastened to!

Maybe, I ment for taking hits

Maybe, I ment for taking hits off rocks ect, not strong enough to support the weight of the box.

Strong enough

Hi Stalin
the plate is very strong with the fold in the rear and should be an improvement over the original crossmember which isn't actually a box section but a flat plate and top hat section spot welded together both of which are around 2mm thick. It doesn't support the gearbox/transfer case but simply braces the chassis against twisting forces where the torsion bars are anchored, I assume it unbolts to ease access to the tosion bar anchors and transfer case.

Ah right, I thought it

Ah right, I thought it supported the box like it does on my F70. Looks a very nice bit of fabrication though Smile

So how much then?
