Can't remember doing a Fourtrak, but am almost 100% sure it's the same as an F50. If so you will find (under all the crap and usually greasy dirt) 8 small (8mm poss) bolts holding two metal plates to the 'back' of the swivel housing, asuming you are looking at the housing from the end of the axle into the wheel arch as it were. These plates hold the seal in. The seal has a split in it so you can change it without removing the swivel from the axle.

If that is wrong I am sure it will be apparent as soon as you remove the dirt from the swivel housing. I am also sure another member will correct me. Smile

Welcome Darren. Nev is

Welcome Darren.

Nev is correct, it is a split seal accessed by removing the cover plate.

These are grease filled, not oil filled.

swival seals

thanks assassin your knowledge is much appreciated thought they were oil filled to be honest thanks for your time mate regards darren

one of those bolts

Is for the steering stop and needs to be reset correctly so the inside tread of the tyre does not rub on the leaf spring on full lock, its very simple.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
