I'm new to fourtraks but have read lot's of useful stuff in this forum. Now I have a problem that I can't find already posted. I have multiple leaks from the transfer box gaskets but I suspect that the main leak is from the seal at the top of the box that holds the lever(rectangular rubber seal). I can't tighten the cover any more but there seems to be a gap. Has anyone had a similar problem?

If it the main plate it is overtightened and distorted, a problem with some vehicles with leaks, tightened instead of them replacing the gaskets.
If it is the seal which the lever passes through it could be the spring missing. This holds the lever down to stop oil leaking.
Have you got one of the L
Have you got one of the L shaped wiring brackets stuck between the main box and the cover? Only asking because I did it once.
