Sticking the rad at the back

Sticking the rad at the back is an old favourite with banger racers. BUT you don't have the airflow (Unless it's on the roof) so you'll need a constantly running fan which could be noisy. The aftercooler could also share the flow.

I can't really see the point

I can't really see the point of shifting them, can you not protect them with wire? The rad will move back, by connecting longer hoses, knock up a bracket to hold it up and mount an electric fan. As the intercooler fits between turbo and engine, you're probably best off ditching it and running a snorkel, the intercooler needs to be in a good airflow, fueling may also want turning down. You can clean the oil out of the intercooler to make it perform better.

if you do get rid of the intercooler and associated pipework, can you email me.

cheers

John

I belive your not to fare fom

I belive your not to fare fom me, (Dover Kent). If you're down this way I'd be happy to have a look, as I've done simmilare to trials cars, but not road goers. Maybe after looking at the old girl I couls sugest some ideas. One thing I will say from painful experiance though, mount the rad at least half it's hight abouve the highest point of the engine. This will help your water flow around the system.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
