Forum:
i bought a restored / recored radiator today and fitted it seems to have cured it touch wood.
the guy ask me the make model etc etc , and said he had that one on the shelf as its a regular seller, he took mine in part ex and said its defo the one.
when i came to fit it though it was totally different i had to fit bottom fixing holes then drill the body of my car to fit bolts to radiator top holes then i had to cut the fans plastic surround and, then the air filter pipe that goes across the top was tight to fit.
its like the radiator is an inch higher than before i tried to fit it the other way ie tops holes in original place but the fan and shroud would not fit it seem to be alright though.
Re-cored.
I would have returned to the restorer and asked them to recore my own radiator. Might take a couple of days but at least it would fit.
