thanks all and dave @ bloodred

Forum:

hi all.

little while ago I posted about dropping a turbo lump in my f70.
had the engine in and running but had a poblem with it overheating, was scratching my head a little as the donor vehicle drove fine and didn't have a heating problem.

well I swapped the rad for the turbo one as it is larger and set back to allow flow behind the intercooler. took apart the viscous fan and welded the two peices together to eliminate that.
in the end turned out to be the thermostat so removed it and left it out, now the temperature is nice and cool and doesn't move.

just wanted to say thanks for all the advice and to dave for the phone advice today. just goes to say you should always look at the simple things first
